I work for a major cell phone carrier. About once a year we hear of a story where someone is desperately hanging on to a voicemail from a lost loved one. We will put a hard copy of a voicemail from a lost loved one in your hands if you ask. It could be the greeting on their phone or a message they left on yours. We want you to have those memories. We had a gas dryer installed a few weeks ago. Went down to the basement to do laundry today and found that that hint of a natural gas smell — your mind plays tricks on you with this stuff, and the guy who installed it was licensed, and it’s our first gas appliance — was much stronger. Called Enbridge and less than an hour later their guy tells us that the reading is well above safe and he’s shutting off our gas ’til we get the technician back to fix the leak. I’m in shock. We’ve got a gas water heater down there, open pilot light. I feel like puking (and it isn’t just from inhaling too much gas)…
Hmmm… Seems to be some problems with using WordPress.com over Tor. Either that, or with sending my requests through Privoxy first. The result is WordPress.com not seeing my referrer, which it requires for the security policy it’s implemented. More thought is required…
Update: I wonder whether this has been resolved… I’m not using Tor regularly now, anyway.
